Marketplace: Exceptional Products Propose an Article Waves of the Future On Sunday, May 4, the annual celebration of Earth Day in Virginia Beach will be located at the Virginia Marine Science Museum. *Waves of the Future* will educate people on the importance of environmental awareness from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the tenth year that Virginia Beach has joined with the community to offer valuable information on being GREEN! Attendees can tour the Virginia Marine Science Museum and the more than 50 nature and conservation based exhibits, displays, environmental crafts and activities, entertainment and attractions for the cost of museum admission. Close the Loop will have an exhibit at this event & will be holding their "Magic of Recycling" show for the children. Adopt-A-Windmill Clean Air Council, a nonprofit whose mission is to preserve everyone's right to breathe clean air, created the Wind Energy Now! Campaign. The direct outreach program helps increase the demand for wind energy by educating institutions and the public about the power source. The campaign has established an Adopt-A-Windmill program to allow individuals to become part of the building of a wind turbine in the Mid Atlantic. The more emission free wind energy that is built, the more clean air we will have. Unlike earlier versions, the new hybrids don't have to be plugged in, nor do they look like they came from Toys R Us. And priced at about $20,000, they're gaining popularity. The IRS has determined that purchasers of a new Honda Insight, Honda Civic Hybrid or Toyota Prius are eligible for a "Clean-Fuel" vehicle tax deduction of $2,000. The current incentive is scheduled to phase out in 2004-06.
